Every camp has a fire ring. Every fire ring deserves a coffee worth the weight in your pack.
Spike Camp Blend is the centerpiece of the lineup — a Full City+ dark roast developed specifically for backcountry conditions. It's the roast you reach for when you've made miles, earned the view, and the water on the fire is already boiling. No thermometer. No pour-over kit. No patience for anything that doesn't perform.
Roasted in small batches by Evans Brothers Coffee in Sandpoint, Idaho, using beans sourced from the origins that hold up best under high-heat outdoor brewing. Full body. Low acidity. The kind of cup that makes the morning feel like it was worth getting up for.
Named for the spike camp — the forward operating base a wildland fire crew sets up closer to the fireline, away from the command post, stripped down to essentials. That's what this blend is. Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
Tasting Notes: Milk chocolate — Caramel — Toasted cedar — Full body — Smooth finish
Brew it right: Boil your water. Pull it off the fire. Count to thirty. Add two heaping tablespoons per 8 oz. Steep four minutes covered. Splash cold water to settle the grounds. Pour slow. Leave the grounds where they belong.
